I’ve watched on the sidelines as people I know stay in abusive relationships.  I have warned them and tried to convince them to get out, get out, get out, before it is too late.  I’ve noticed how their worlds shrink, their hopes shrink and then eventually their physical bodies cannot take the stress anymore.  Cancer and suicide have set in and snuffed out the lives of two beautiful women I knew.

So here’s a reason to get out of isolation.  Get out of isolation and get away from whoever it is who is left in your inner circle who is abusing you.  Perhaps it is a moocher.  Perhaps it is a person who puts you down in front of others.  Perhaps it is someone who slaps you.  Get out before it is too late.
